We graciously share November 11 with the feast of St. Martin de Tours
St. Martin de Tours is the patron saint of the poor, soldiers, conscientious objectors, tailors, and winemakers.
St. Martin de Tours Church in the city of St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana,
is the third oldest Catholic church in the state. Nearby can be found the Acadian Memorial Museum honoring the Acadians who were exiled from Canada by the British for their Faith, the Evangeline Oak mentioned by poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, the Community of Jesus Crucified Retreat Center, and their Mater Dolorosa Chapel.
